Karrie Malmanger


Mrs. Karrie Malmanger is one of our K4 teachers this year.  She grew up in Wisconsin and then attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Elementary Education.  She then went on to teach in both Wisconsin (Union Grove-First Grade, Volleyball/Basketball coach) and Minnesota (Brainerd-K4, K5, Jr/Sr. High, coaching) before the Lord led her and her husband, Mark, to Charleston, SC.  Mrs. Malmanger has been teaching at NCS since 2005.  During that time she has taught K4, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.

The Malmangers have a son, Evan, who was born in March of 2013, a daughter, Elise, who was born in July of 2016, and two dogs, Dexter and Arabella.  Mrs. Malmanger is a Packer and Notre Dame football fan as well as a MN Twins baseball fan.  In her spare time she likes to sew and work on gutting and renovating her home.

Mrs. Malmanger accepted Christ as her Savior when she was 4 years old.  Her favorite Bible characters are Esther and Ruth.

Deanna Simensen

K4, Housekeeping

Deanna Simensen has been teaching K3 and K5 at Northside for 16 years.  Prior to living here, she was teaching K5 in Puerto Rico where her parents were missionaries.  She grew up in a military home and spent some of her childhood In Japan.  Besides her love of teaching, she spends much of her time with her dogs Sadie and Ty.

Candi Brittain


Candi Brittain is a graduate of University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a minor in science.  She spent three years teaching in Sydney, Australia and three years as an army officer.  She is married and her husband is retired from the air force.  They have two daughters that live in the area and graduated from NCS.  Five of her six grandchildren are now attending Northside.  This is Mrs. Brittain’s 22nd year teaching at Northside Christian School.

Christina Guerra


 Christina Guerra was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She was homeschooled kindergarten through twelfth grade and discovered she wanted to be a teacher when she taught for the first time in Sunday School at church.  She graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Elementary Education with an early childhood concentration. This is her first year teaching at Northside Christian School.
